2024 marks a significant milestone as China and Norway celebrate the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations. Over the past seven decades, the relationship between the two nations has evolved and deepened, marked by mutual respect, cooperation, and a shared commitment to addressing global challenges.
The Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre plans a visiting in China on September 9th.
- I am looking forward to traveling to China. Norway must have cooperation and political contact with China in areas that are important to Norwegian interests. We will also cooperate on important global issues, such as climate and the green shift, says Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.
- Norway has a lot of trade with China. The country is Norway's third largest trading partner, after the EU and the USA. Norway imports a lot from China, and the country is also an important market for several Norwegian industries and companies. It helps to create jobs here at home in Norway, says Prime Minister Støre.
The 70th anniversary of China-Norway diplomatic relations is a momentous occasion, reflecting on the achievements of the past while looking forward to future possibilities. The Norwegian Chinese Chamber of Commerce is delighted to invite you to our autumn opening event, together celebrating the 70th anniversary of Norway-China friendship and relations.
WARMLY WELCOME!
