During the visit by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in August, we were pleased to notice that amid the special challenging year, early completion of the China-Norway Free Trade Agreement (FTA) negotiations is of great significance to advancing economic and trade cooperation between our two countries.

At this meeting, Ambassador Signe Brudeset will talk about the status and opportunities for Norway and China collaboration in 2020. Norway and China’ s bilateral cooperation covers a wide range issues, including trade and investment, maritime issues and climate- and environment.

Ms.Signe Brudeset has been Norway’s Ambassador to China and Mongolia since May 2019. Prior to this she has had a long career in the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where she amongst other has been Norway’s Ambassador to Japan, Director at Section for Middle East and North Africa and Special Envoy for Syria and Iraq.
